The 2023 version of National Signing Day takes place on Wednesday as West Virginia prepares to welcome the Class of 2024 into the fold.

Makai Byerson, DL, Richmond, Va. — 7:10 a.m.
Makai Byerson was the first name to officially sign with WVU. A defensive lineman from Virginia, Byerson has deep WVU connections through his father and is listed at 6-foot-4, 270 pounds.

Kyle Altuner, OL, Olney, Md. — 7:32 a.m.
Kyle Altuner is an offensive lineman from Good Counsel High School in Olney, Maryland. He played in a really good WCAC conference and was a standout performer. He had a season grade of 95 percent and did not allow a sack.

Curtis Jones Jr., LB, Huntington, W.Va. — 7:44 a.m.
Curtis Jones Jr. is the first in-state product to sign today. He is the No. 4 ranked player in the state of West Virginia and played on both offense and defense at Cabell Midland High School.

Keyshawn Robinson is the second in-state signee, playing at Jefferson High School. Robinson has tons of speed and played everywhere on offense, as well as was a star in track and field.

Nate Gabriel is a talented defensive lineman from Florida, who put up big numbers during his time in high school. He was a former teammate of current Mountaineers Aubrey Burks.

Jason Cross is a defensive back from Pittsburgh, and chose the Mountaineers over rival Pitt. Cross put up good numbers in the secondary this past season at Canevin High School.

Keyon Washington is another defensive back in this class, and another recruit from Maryland. He played on offense, defense, and special teams in high school, and has really good athleticism.

Justin Terry is the second offensive lineman to sign in the 2024 class, joining Kyle Altuner. With his.large frame, Terry will likely play tackle for the Mountaineers and hold down the edge.

Jack Sammarco is a tight end who played at Anderson High School in Ohio. Standing at six-foot-six, Sammarco is the perfect height for a tight end, he should be able to make a great impact in the blocking and passing games in the future.

Brandon Rehmann, a wide receiver, played for a nationally ranked program in High School (St.Joseph’s Prep (PA)). This season he had 28 catches for 502 yards and seven receiving touchdowns. He also added a touchdown on the ground and off of a kickoff return.

Khalil Wilkins is a dual threat quarterback and 2023 Under Armour All-American. He threw for 36 touchdowns and rushed for 11 more his junior and senior seasons.

Trae’Von Dunbar is the second running back commitment of the day, as he chose the Mountaineers today. Dunbar put up monster numbers in high school, at Midland Valley High School, rushing for more than 4,600 yards and more than 60 touchdowns in his career.

Israel Boyce is a talented defensive back from Georgia, who will be on campus as an early enrollee. Boyce was name All-State First Team and he had three interceptions to go along with 51 tackles his senior year.

Rickey Williams is another linebacker in this class from Akron, Ohio. Williams had 83 tackles, fits sacks, and 14 tackles for loss as a senior.

Obinna Onwuka is last but certainly not least. Onwuka has been one of the more vocal guys in this class, as he was also one of the first signees. He had 19 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and four sacks as a senior.
