West Virginia officially signed safety Jason Cross in the 2024 class on Wednesday.
The safety from the Pittsburgh area, had been committed to the Mountaineers since June, playing at Bishop Canevin High School. Cross had 59 total tackles, 11 TFL, while adding six interceptions as well this past season.
Cross also played all over the offense including at quarterback and wide receiver in his high school career.
The secondary has been a big focus in recruiting for West Virginia, a Cross is a piece that can be a big help for the Mountaineers going forward. Cross’ final three schools included Michigan State, Syracuse, and West Virginia.
