MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The NCAA Tournament came to town on Saturday during, leading to WVU women’s basketball comfortably winning its first-round matchup.
The Mountaineers packed the Hope Coliseum with a program record attendance, recording 13,504 fans.
The 82-54 win over Miami (OH) is the third-straight first round win for the lady Mountaineers. Second round action against No. 5 seeded Kentucky tips off at 5:00pm Monday. A second-round win would be WVU Women’s Basketball’s second time in program history advancing to the Sweet 16.
