LB Broncs Baker Stands Out for WVU Football 2027 Class

Broncs Baker with WVU Football HC Rich Rodriguez

WVU Football continues to build their 2027 recruiting class, adding a key commitment from a linebacker recruit. That recruit is Broncs Baker from Stansbury High School in Utah, and he pledged his commitment to West Virginia on April 10th.

Baker, who is regarded as one of the best recruits from the state of Utah in the 2027 class, currently stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs in at 215 pounds. He chose the Mountaineers over offers from multiple power conference programs including: California, Michigan, Virginia Tech, Kansas State, and Arizona State. There were many other suitors as well, as the linebacker was highly sought after on the recruiting trail and appears tailor-made to play in a Zac Alley defense.

Below is a list of the current 2027 WVU verbal commitments, followed by a video highlighting Broncs Baker and showcasing some of his playmaking ability that he will bring to Morgantown.

2027 WVU FOOTBALL VERBAL COMMITMENTS:

  • DL DaJour Webb (6’3 330) [PA]

  • LB Mason Cerovac (6’2 230) [OH]
  • RB Lee Prince Jr. (5’10 175) [FL]
