Coming off a successful season including winning the Big 12 Championship in 2023, West Virginia baseball will draw national attention with the announcement on Thursday of two games being televised to big sports networks in 2024.
In head coach Randy Mazey’s last season, the Mountaineers will be on FS1 while they’re on the road to face Oklahoma on March 22, as well as ESPN2 when they host Penn State on May 8.
Along with Mazey’s final year at the helm, the WVU baseball season is headlined by middle infielder JJ Wetherholt, who is projected to be a top selection in the 2024 MLB draft.
Wetherholt has already earned many pre-season honors, such as Perfect Game Preseason All-American, Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year and Preseason First-Team All-American by D1Baseball.
West Virginia is set to open up their season with a four-game series against Stetson in DeLand, Florida from Feb. 16 to Feb. 19.
