Former Mountaineer Kade Strowd gets called up by Baltimore

Kade Strowd is on his way to the big leagues.

Former Mountaineer righty Kade Strowd was called up to pitch for the Baltimore Orioles, WVU announced on Monday.

In eight AAA games with the Norfolk Tides this season, Strowd has struggled, allowing 12 runs in 10 innings across his eight appearances. Strowd has been credited with one win and one loss as a reliever this season.

Baltimore kicked off a home series against the Yankees on Monday, which will be immediately followed by a home series with the Royals, beginning Friday. When Strowd enters a game, it will be his MLB debut.
