WVU has not been to the NCAA tournament since 2023; this is what they must do to make it in 2025.
The Mountaineers currently stand at 13-5 on the season with 12 games remaining. While WVU has had a successful season thus far, there is still work left to be done for the team.
WVU would seemingly have to win six of their 12 remaining games to get themselves into the tournament almost automatically. While there is still a chance to get into the tournament with less than 19 wins, the percentage changes drastically with less than 19 wins.
One thing to keep in mind for the Mountaineers is that if they were to finish under the 19-win threshold, their resume could stack up against any other team in the country with four ranked wins and three top-10 wins.
While the Mountaineers still essentially control their own destiny they will need to start playing better basketball again if they want to make the tournament and make a run.
