On Monday, West Virginia head coach Neal Brown was asked if he had a message for fans after a disappointing 28-16 loss to Iowa State.
Brown’s answer shocked many fans. Some felt it was blown out of proportion, but many national outlets, including ESPN and Barstool Sports, picked up the story.
On Wednesday, the ESPN show ‘Around the Horn,’ a roundtable sports discussion show, discussed the comments and gave their honest thoughts. The discussion section was dubbed “HC Brown Pushing ‘Good Time’ At Home Games.”
“This is not the play; you do not tell a fanbase that was expecting your team to win the Big 12 and be in the college football playoff that they should just be happy that they’re having fun out there. It’s a really bad look,” panelist Jen Lada said.
Following Lada’s thoughts, host Tony Reali mentioned that WVU has another home game this week but said, “Amos Zereoue not walking through that door, Major Harris is not walking through that door, Pat White not walking through that door.”
