West Virginia men’s basketball appears to have found their next head coach in Darian DeVries.
As of Sunday evening, multiple reports surfaced saying DeVries and WVU are closing in on a five-year agreement. Coming with DeVries will be his son Tucker, who is the back-to-back Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year.
Jeff Goodman reported the news, as Tucker averaged 21.6 points per game this season, and is a 6-foot-7 guard/forward. DeVries the coach has spent the last six seasons at Drake, surpassing the 20-win total in each of those seasons.
