The Los Angeles Chargers have signed former WVU quarterback Will Grier off the New England Patriots practice squad, per Tom Pelissero.
Grier has not played in a regular-season NFL game since his rookie season, where he made two starts at the end of the season for the Panthers. He completed just 53.8% of his passes for 228 yards and four interceptions.
He has also spent time with the Cowboys and Bengals.
With starter Justin Herbert being out for the rest of the season, the Chargers add depth to the quarterback position with the signing of Grier.
