Report: Jose Perez no longer on West Virginia

Jose Perez

Jose Perez is no longer with West Virginia.

According to Adam Zagoria, Perez is no longer with the team due to an academic situation.

Perez was a transfer from Manhattan who had to sit out last season after he was ruled ineligible as a two-time transfer. Perez has played in 97 career games, averaging 15.1 points per game between Gardner-Webb, Marquette, and Manhattan.

Jeff Goodman of Stadium added that it was interim head coach Josh Eilert who dismissed Perez from the team, saying he “parted ways” with Perez.
