According to Pete Thamel of ESPN, sources tell him that Nicco Marchiol is expected to start at quarterback for WVU against Texas Tech.
Thamel also added that Greene will still be a game-time decision and could potentially start, however that decision won’t be made until warmups are complete, Thamel says.
Head coach Neal Brown said on Thursday that Greene will be a game-time decision as he continues to try to battle through an ankle injury which sidelined him on West Virginia’s second drive of the game in their 17-6 win over Pitt last Saturday.
West Virginia and Texas Tech kickoff at 3:30 p.m. on ESPN+.
