West Virginia head men’s basketball coach Bob Huggins was arrested in Pittsburgh on Friday night and charged with driving under the influence (DUI).
West Virginia University and its Department for Intercollegiate Athletics released a statement on the incident saying:
“West Virginia University is aware of an incident last night involving Head Men’s Basketball Coach Bob Huggins, for which he was charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI) in the City of Pittsburgh. We are gathering more information and will take appropriate action once the review is complete.”
This is the second incident involving Huggins since the end of the season as he previously used a homophobic slur on a Cincinnati radio station.
