WVU baseball loses freshman catcher to transfer portal

West Virginia baseball lost another player from this past season’s team to the transfer portal. D1Baseball’s transfer portal tracker showed the addition of freshman catcher/infielder Zach Ramppen.

Rammpen, who is originally from Connecticut, played in 13 games this year. He hit .200, with two hits, two runs scored and an RBI.

Rammpen is one of six Mountaineers from this past year’s roster who have entered the portal since season’s end.
