After revealing his departure from WVU on Wednesday, Rodney Gallagher shared more about his feelings about his time in West Virginia.

“Nothing but love and respect for the old Gold&Blue. Thank you West Virginia for the great memories🫶🏼,” posted Gallagher on Jan. 1.

Joining the Mountaineers as a four-star recruit out of Western Pennsylvania in Neal Brown’s 2023 class, Gallagher appeared in 38 games over his Mountaineer tenure. He caught 28 passes for 283 yards this season and rushed 14 times for 83 yards, but did not find the end zone this season.

On his career, Gallagher has 64 catches for 605 yards and three touchdowns while carrying the ball 45 times for 221 yards.

The pinnacle of Gallagher’s career came in the 2024 season when he scored the game-winning touchdown against Kansas, his first career score.
