\WVU football continues to add to its 2026 recruitment class. Earlier today they received a commitment from Cameron Dwyer out of Palm Beach Central High School in Florida.
West Virginia offered Dwyer back in January. The 6’2, 200-pound linebacker picked the Mountaineers over schools such as Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, South Florida, James Madison, Tulane, Liberty, and East Carolina.
With his size and athleticism, Dwyer can play a multitude of positions defensively, especially in defensive coordinator Zach Alley’s aggressive defensive scheme.
Dwyer has become the seventh commit so far for WVU in the 2026 class. They currently rank 35th in the country, according to 247 Sports, with a lot of time to go. Head coach Rich Rodriguez and his staff continue to add athleticism on the defensive end and get their first linebacker commit.
