After taking a year off, Kuntz takes the general manager position at the University of Pittsburgh.
For 16 years Jay Kuntz was a part of the WVU staff and was a massive part of the team’s recruiting. He served as an assistant head coach under Bob Huggins from 2017-2022 and later became the director of recruiting where he oversaw all aspects of the team’s on and off-campus recruiting. His tenure at West Virginia came to an end in 2024 and he would take the rest of the year off.
Kuntz will now serve as the general manager for Pitt men’s basketball. As the general manager, he will oversee personnel and work closely with NIL funds and donors.
