The Mountaineers had a few big NBA performances this past season, with the regular season coming to an end next week let’s take a look around the league.
Miles McBride
McBride played a considerable role for the New York Knicks in his fourth season being the sixth man off the bench for most of the year. He averaged 9.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game while shooting 40% from the field posting career-highs in points, rebounds, and assists. Mcbride also stepped into the starting lineup for star Jalen Brunson when he missed a few weeks with an ankle injury. The Knicks hold the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference and will be in the playoffs in a few weeks.
Jevon Carter
Carter just wrapped up his seventh season in the NBA after being a second-round pick by the Memphis Grizzlies in 2018. Carter appeared in 33 games for the Chicago Bulls this season, he averaged 3.9 points, 0.9 rebounds, and one assist per game while shooting 41.1% from the field. Carter is reportedly banged up as the season winds down to a right shoulder injury. Chicago is currently in the playoff picture as the No. 10 seed in the Eastern Conference, hanging on to one of the last play-in spots with four games to play.
Erik Stevenson
Stevenson spent the majority of the season with the Washington Wizards G-League Affiliate where he averaged 15.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game while playing 22 minutes per game. He received the call-up to the NBA over the All-Star break and made his debut when the team returned against the Milwaukee Bucks. He never recorded any stats in his time in the NBA and was sent back to finish the season with the Capital City Go-Go.
