WVU football lands four-star quarterback commit

Earlier this morning, on the day of West Virginia’s Spring Showcase, 2026 four-star quarterback Jyron Hughley committed to play for the Mountaineers.

Hughley is a 6-foot-2 athlete who played multiple positions for Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach, Florida. He held offers from schools such as Florida State, North Carolina State, and Boston College.

Hughley was a finalist for the Class 1A Offensive Player of the Year in Florida and a first-team all-state selection. He joined three other recruits in the 2026 class who are committed to the Mountaineers, making it a top 50 class in the country with a lot more work to do.

Barring any changes, Jyron Hughley will join the Mountaineers next spring to prepare for the 2026-2027 season.
