After losing their first series of the season to Arizona, the Mountaineers look forward as they take on Marshall and BYU for week seven of their regular season.
The Mountaineers start their week Tuesday at home, where they will face in-state rival Marshall in a single-game series. West Virginia comes into the game with a 19-3 record.
Marshall is currently 12-12 for the season and are 2-6 in their last eight games playing Arkansas State, Eastern Kentucky, and JMU.
Senior Eddie Leon has led The Herd at the plate with a .318 batting average and four home runs.
Ethan Murdoch has accounted for seven homeruns and 20 RBIs for Marshall.
On the mound, sophomore Charlie Krebs has led The Herd with a 0.98 ERA in his 18 innings pitched.
After facing Marshall, West Virginia will travel out to Provo, Utah to take on the BYU Cougars in a three-game series. The Cougars are 13-9 for the season.
Redshirt senior Cooper Vest has been hot at the plate for the Cougars with a .330 batting average and nine home runs.
Outfielder Bryker Hurdsman has a .388 batting average and has scored 20 runs for BYU this season.
Payton Gubler has been solid on the mound with a 3.12 ERA and 23 strikeouts in his six appearances.
