As day two concluded at Big 12 Pro Day, three Mountaineers showed their talents in fron of NFL scouts, including Garret Greene with his first appearance as a wide receiver.
Garret Greene
If there were any questions about Garret Greene’s athletic ability, they were all answered today. Greene’s shuttle time was 4.08 seconds, ranking 2nd amongst all wide receivers. He also ran a 4.5 second 40 yard dash, ranking 7th, and a 6.84 second 3 cone time, tying for the 3rd best time. The only measurable that Greene did not place top 10 in was the broad jump, jumping 9’7”, ranking 27th. He did not participate in the bench press. Although Greene has played quarterback his whole life, he showed that he has the athletic ability to perform in other places on the field.
Justin Robinson
Justin Robinson had a shaky day at the pro day, finishing near the bottom for most drills. His best measurable was his broad jump at 9 ‘9″, ranking 25th. Robinson ran a 4.88 40 yard dash, ranking him last for all receivers that tested. He ran a 7.65 second 3 cone time, a 4.55 second shuttle time and vertical jumped 29.5 inches.
Kole Taylor
Being the only Mountaineer in the tight end’s group, Taylor held his own, ranking top 10 in almost every drill. Taylor got his impressive day going with a 4.93 second 40 yard dash, ranking 10th amongst the tight ends. He showed his strength with 21 reps on the bench press, ranking 4th. He showed his quickness with a 4.53 second shuttle time and his jumping ability, broad jumping 9’7”. The only drill that he did not place top 10 in was the 3 cone drill with the time of 7.52 seconds, ranking 11th.
In a highly competitive field, these three Mountaineers showcased their abilities in front of over 300 NFL scouts to wrap up another successful day at the Big 12 Pro Day.
