Cleary and McCabe earn USTFCCCA Mid-Atlantic Region honors

Ceili McCabe was named the Mid-Atlantic Region Women’s Track Athlete of the Year while head coach Sean Cleary was named the Mid-Atlantic Region Women’s Coach of the Year.

McCabe recently reeled in a NCAA Championship in the 3000m race with a time of 9:01.18. The redshirt senior was also the Big 12 Women’s Runner of the Year and was a Big 12 champion and a NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Cross Country champion in the women’s 6k.

Cleary currently is in his 18th season as the head coach of the WVU cross country and track teams. Cleary led the Mountaineers to the program’s highest placement at the Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championships in history this season.
