JJ Quinerly named AP All-American Honorable Mention

JJ Quinerly of West Virginia women’s basketball was named an AP All-American Honorable Mention for the second straight season.

During the 2024-2025 season, Quinerly averaged a career-best 20.6 points per game. The senior guard has also averaged 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 3.1 assists per game this season.

Quinerly was named the Big 12 Conference Defensive Player of the Year and was a semifinalist for the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year.

The Mountaineers are scheduled to play either Washington or Columbia in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Saturday at 2:00 p.m. EST. The game will take place in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
