West Virginia was able to put together a really good recruiting class for the upcoming 2025-2026 season, lets take a look at the players that may find themselves making an impact next season.
West Virginia’s 2025 recruiting class was made up of three commits, but they found themselves at No. 23 in the country based on 24/7 Sports recruiting class rankings. They were also ranked fourth in the Big 12 according to the same ranking, only trailing behind Houston, BYU, and Iowa State.
Darian DeVries and his staff made up this class with two four-stars and one three-star and will have to replace the five seniors who will not be back next season. Javon Small, Joseph Yesufu, Eduardo Andre, Jake Auer, and Toby Okani are the five players the team will have to replace.
Braydon Hawthorne, a West Virginia native, headlined this class for the Mountaineers as he was ranked the No. 1 player in the state of West Virginia after playing at Huntington Prep. Hawthorne, a 6-foot-9 forward was ranked as the No. 71 player in the class nationally and No. 16 for his position.
Kelvin Odih, a 6-foot-4 guard out of SoCal Academy in California, is a four-star prospect. Odih was ranked as the No. 75 player nationally, No. 18 at his position, and the No. 9 player in the state of California, according to 24/7 Sports. Odih held offers from Rutgers, Marquette, Colorado, Xavier and Creighton just to name a few.
The last player in this class is Trent MacLean, a four-star, 6-foot-9 forward prospect from SoCal Academy. MacLean and Odih played their high school careers together at SoCal Academy. He was ranked the No. 141 player nationally, No. 28 at his position, and No. 18 in the state of California.
