After a disappointing day with no selection to the NCAA Tournament, Jonathan Powell plans to enter the transfer portal. The freshman guard had an impressive first year with the Mountaineers.
Powell averaged 8.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per contest starting in 23 games, while appearing in 32 total during the season. He also recorded 22 assists and 22 rebounds.
Powell’s departure leaves Mountaineer fans wondering if head coach Darian DeVries will remain in West Virginia, or move on as well.
