WVU baseball has moved into three different top 25 rankings after their 14-1 start to begin the 2025 season.
West Virginia baseball has gotten off to a fast start in 2025, starting the season 14-1, and has begun grabbing national attention. This week, the Mountaineers have popped up in three different top-25 rankings. Perfect Game has the Mountaineers ranked in the top 15 as the No. 13 team in the country. In the USA Today Coaches Poll, the Mountaineers see themselves at No. 24. The NCBWA has WVU ranked at No. 21 in this week’s poll.
The WVU baseball team has won each of their first four series and only dropped their first game of the season this past weekend to Kennesaw State. The Mountaineers currently rank 21st in the country in team batting average with a team average of .327.
West Virginia will host Towson at 2 p.m. EST on Tuesday before heading to Stillwater, Oklahoma, for their first Big 12 series of the year with Oklahoma State beginning on Friday, March 14th.
