No. 4 West Virginia will take on No. 5 Kansas State in their first game of the Big 12 Tournament following a two-game bye. Kansas State defeated No. 13 UCF this afternoon.
The Mountaineers face a touch challenge as they fell to the Wildcats last season in the quarterfinals by just three points. Kansas State then fell to Texas during the semi-finals. Both teams look for revenge as they hope to bring home a championship.
Kansas State’s Ayoka Lee is out for the Big 12 Tournament due to a foot injury but is expected to return for the NCAA Tournament. Lee put up 22 points in the Mountaineers’ post-season loss last year.
“I made the decision now in order to give myself seven to 10 days of practice in preparation for the NCAA Tournament,” Lee said.
Tip-off between the two teams is set for tomorrow at noon ET.
