The West Virginia women’s basketball team sits at No. 16 in the AP Poll rankings headed into the Big 12 Tournament. The Mountaineers were previously slated at No. 18.
West Virginia has been in the rankings every week this season and at 301 points, they currently sit behind Maryland and in front of conference opponent, Baylor.
The Mountaineers kick off the post-season at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Championship on Friday, March 7. Tip-off is set for noon and they will face either No. 5 Kansas State, No. 12 BYU, or No. 13 UCF.
