Former edge rusher for the Mountaineers Sean Martin will begin his NFL journey this week at the NFL Combine. Martin is projected to go undrafted, but a good week at the combine can change that.
Martin started every game for the Mountaineers in the 2024 season, finishing with 23 total tackles and 3.5 sacks.
He will begin his week with interviews from interested teams. Many players believe interviews are your opportunity to show the team your passion for the game of football and is often referred to as the most important part of the combine. After completing private interviews, Martin will have media day on Wednesday.
NFL draft boards have drawn questions about Martin’s athleticism and strength, especially at an edge rusher position. The NFL experts have given Martin a 74/100 as his overall rating entering the combine.
Thursday and Friday are the two days for Martin to prove them wrong. He will begin with his on-field workouts and agility tests on Thursday at 3:00 p.m., followed by bench press on Friday.
Martin is going into combine week with a different mindset than most players on the field, who are trying to raise their draft stock. He is trying to get drafted, and he will need to show out on the biggest stage to do so.
Catch the combine this whole week exclusively on NFL Network.
