Where Joe Lunardi has the Mountaineers in latest ‘Bracketology’

ESPN’s Joe Lunardi released his latest bracketology on Friday ahead of the weekend slate of games. The Mountaineers found themselves in his ‘last four byes’ after picking up a home win and season sweep over the Cincinnati Bearcats.

A win on Saturday on the road against another top 10 team, Texas Tech, would be the Mountaineers’ fourth win over a top 10 team this season and may just be enough to keep WVU on the inside looking out for good.

However, it appears the magic number without a win over Texas Tech may just be 19 wins heading into the Big 12 Tournament for Coach DeVries’ squad. WVU is currently sitting with a 16-10 record.

It will be a wild and interesting end to an already crazy and unpredictable season. Buckle up.
