Four-star quarterback Brodie McWhorter announced his top seven schools to call home, and West Virginia is among the finalists. The high school junior’s recruitment remains open as his decision winds down.
McWhorter was previously committed to West Virginia, but stepped away following the firing of Neal Brown. New head coach Rich Rodriguez has shown deep interest, even visiting McWhorter at Cass High School in Georgia.
Other contenders in McWhorter’s list of seven schools include Mississipi State, Auburn, and Big 12 opponent Colorado.
