Spring football is still on in Morgantown, and Jahiem White appears to be all in.
West Virginia’s star running back and rising junior Jahiem White previewed his third season at WVU on Saturday on his X account. White posted a photo of him working in the gym and tagged WVU Football.
“The response is to go harder and be better. So let’s respond,” White said. Included in the picture, White wrote, “With every warrior there’s always an obstacle he have to overcome to become stronger, it’s how you respond.”
White’s post comes just one day after the official announcement from running backs coach Chad Scott that he would be departing WVU for Texas. White joined the Mountaineers under Scott’s coaching for the position and formed a bond in two seasons with the coach.
“Thank you for making me a better person,” White said to Scott over X on Thursday. “It’s bigger than football.”
With Scott gone, another pillar of White’s time at WVU has fallen, alongside Neal Brown, who WVU will be without for the first time in 2025.
Jahiem White, under his new coaching staff, kicks off spring practice on Tuesday. The 15-practice season will conclude with the Gold-Blue Spring Showcase on April 5 at Milan Puskar Stadium.
