Texas announced this evening that Chad Scott will fill the running backs position. West Virginia head coach Rich Rodriguez will be on the hunt for a replacement as Chad Scott was rehired for the 2025 season.
Scott has worked for the Mountaineers since 2019 serving as a co-offensive coordinator, running backs coach, run game coordinator and offensive coordinator. In 2024, he led the WVU rushing offense to a No. 9 ranking among Power Four schools. Jahiem White thanked Scott for his time in Morgantown in a social media post.
“@CoachChadScott thank you for making me a better person. It’s bigger than football,” wrote the sophomore running back.
Scott replaces Tashard Choice, who left for the Detroit Lions.
