Former WVU coach accepts position at Notre Dame

Former WVU running backs coach Ja’Juan Seider was named the associate head coach and running backs coach at Notre Dame.

Seider began his college career at West Virginia earning All-American honors before transferring to Florida A&M. He returned to the Mountaineers as a graduate assistant from 2008-2010 spending time with the quarterbacks and working with Pat White, Jarrett Brown, and Geno Smith.

In his second stint with WVU, Seider took on the running backs coach position, In 2014, he coached a WVU offense that ranked No. 9 nationally in passing offense, No. 11 in first down offense, No. 12 in total offense and No. 34 in scoring offense.

Most recently, Seider finished his seventh season with Penn State. He joined the program in 2018, and was named co-offensive coordinator in 2022 and assistant head coach in 2023. Seider has also spent time coaching at Marshall and Florida.
