Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports shared that former West Virginia offensive coordinator, Chad Scott, is one of the leading candidates for the running backs coach opening at Texas.
Scott has worked for the Mountaineers since 2019 overseeing the running backs. Before he took on the offensive coordinator position in 2023, he served as co-offensive coordinator and run game coordinator. Scott held the position of interim head coach for West Virginia’s bowl game following the firing of Neal Brown.
Scott has spent time with North Carolina, Troy, Texas Tech, and Kentucky.
