Basketball commentator Fran Fraschilla shared on social media he spoke to some of the 35 NBA scouts about their growing interest in Javon Small. In his post, he had nothing but praise for the senior regarding Big 12 Player of the Year.
“He’s almost single-handedly keeping the Mountaineers in NCAA contention & in my Top 3 for @Big12Conference POY,” Fraschilla wrote.
This season, Small is averaging 18.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game. He also was recently named to the Wooden Late Midseason Top 20 Men’s Watchlist.
