Local utility player announces commitment to West Virginia

West Virginia native Carter Zuliani announced his commitment to West Virginia Sunday afternoon. The 6-foot-6, 235-pound tight end and defensive lineman attended Bridgeport High School.

During his senior season, Zuliani had 27.5 tackles, 12.5 for a loss, five sacks, two forced fumbles, six pass deflections and a blocked kick. He led his team to a West Virginia Class AAA state title and was a First-Team All-State selection as a defensive lineman.

Not only is Zuliani a star on the field, he was also a starter for his basketball team and a member of both the swim and tack and field teams. Fun fact: his family owns “Zul’s,” the frozen lemonade drink sold at WVU sporting events!
