Former Mountaineer Signs with CFL Team

Former West Virginia wide receiver Devin Carter has signed with the BC (British Columbia) Lions of the CFL.

Carter spent one season with the Mountaineers in 2023. That season he was WVU’s leading-receiver with 27 catches for 501 yards and two touchdowns.

Carter went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft but signed with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent. The 6-foot-3 product of Clayont, North Carolina, dealt with injury and was eventually waived by the Panthers.

Now, the 24-year-old will have another shot at professional football as he signs with a Lions’ team that finished 9-9 in the 2024 CFL season.
