WVU Lands Former App State Cornerback

Former App State Cornerback Jason Chambers has officially announced his commitment to West Virginia.

Chambers is a junior cornerback who played for App State in the 2024 season. In 2024, Chambers recorded one interception, one pass defended, and 25 solo tackles. Prior to his stint with App State, he spent his first two seasons at North Carolina Central, where he recorded a career-high three interceptions in 2023.

Chambers, now set to join the Mountaineers in 2025, becomes the latest addition to the defense courtesy of the transfer portal. The Mountaineers are up to 17 defensive players that they have been able to land through the first window of the transfer portal.
