WVU Women’s Basketball falls to No.20 in the AP Poll rankings

In the latest NCAA AP Poll rankings, West Virginia Women’s basketball has dropped to No.20 in the nation.

After beginning the week strong with a blowout win over Texas Tech, the Mountaineers suffered a tough loss at Oklahoma St. It is the team’s third loss of the season, all being on the road.

After beginning the year with a No.13 ranking, the Mountaineers have seen that number fall since entering conference play.

In a tough Big 12 filled with many great basketball teams, the rest of the season will not get any easier for West Virginia.

The Mountaineers will stay home next week. They will begin with a game on Jan. 15th against Colorado, and close the week with a game on Jan. 19th against Iowa St.
