Former WVU quarterback commits to the University of Alabama Birmingham after a year in Morgantown.
Redshirt freshman Ryder Burton entered his name into the transfer portal on Dec. 18th. Burton spent only one season with the Mountaineers after transferring from BYU a year ago. He was a former three-star recruit out of high school but has yet to play so far in his collegiate career.
Burton finds a new home for the third time so far, this time with UAB, in 2024 they finished the season at 3-9 and finished 12th in the American Athletic Conference.
Burton should have an opportunity to fight for the starting job with Jamison Kitna, a three-star quarterback from Ohio, who was rated as the highest-rated recruit in the 2025 class for UAB.
