West Virginia native commits to WVU Football

A Clarksburg native is returning to Almost Heaven next fall.

Youngstown State offensive lineman Wyatt Minor announced Saturday that he has signed with Rich Rodriguez and WVU Football for the upcoming fall season.

Graduating in 2023 from Robert C. Byrd High School in Clarksburg, Minor played most recently in his home state as a Class AA honorable mention.

After high school, Minor committed to Youngstown State in Ohio, where he redshirted as a freshman before playing just one game this season against Valparaiso.

With limited playing time, the 6-foot-5, 315-pound lineman entered the transfer portal following this season and has found his way back home to West Virginia.

“Cue Country Roads because I’m coming HOME!!!” Minor said in his announcement on X.

Minor added that he was convinced primarily by Rodriguez’s “championship culture,” when making his decision, as have been several incoming Mountaineers.
