According to A&P Sports Agency via Matt Zenitz and Rivals, former LSU defensive tackle Kimo Makane’ole has committed to West Virginia.
Makane’ole, the rising redshirt senior, spent his first three seasons as an offensive line for the Tigers before switching to a defensive lineman in 2024. This past season he recorded one tackle.
In his career, the 6-foot-4, 297-pound product of Niceville, Florida, has played in 19 games, providing depth. He was a three-star prospect in high school, ranked as the No. 28 interior offensive lineman and no. 52 recruit from Florida in his class by 247Sports.
With the commitment of Makane’ole, West Virginia will add a potential difference maker who can play on both sides of the ball.
