WVU announces that Rhett Rodriguez, son of head coach Rich Rodriguez, will join the coaching staff as the quarterbacks coach.
The Mountaineers hired another coaching staff member, this time naming their quarterbacks coach. Rodriguez spent last season as an offensive analyst on his father’s staff at Jax State.
Rodriguez spent the 2017-2020 seasons as a quarterback at the University of Arizona before transferring to the University of Louisiana-Monroe for his final college season. Over his playing career, he recorded 1,377 passing yards with seven touchdown passes and seven interceptions.
