Former WVU wide receiver Traylon Ray announced that he will be transferring to Ole Miss.
Traylon Ray announced on Dec. 22 that he would not be returning to WVU and had instead entered his name in the transfer portal. Ray took a visit to Ole Miss earlier on Wednesday and committed soon after.
In his freshman season at WVU, Ray saw limited snaps but was able to haul in 18 receptions for 321 yards and three touchdowns, including a 75-yard touchdown on the first play of the Duke’s Mayo Bowl against UNC. In his second year, he saw more snaps and was able to record 28 receptions for 426 yards and four touchdowns before his season was cut short due to an ankle injury.
Ray will now find himself playing in the SEC and is the latest piece for an Ole Miss team that won 10 games in 2024.
