Matt Zenitz of 247Sports/CBS Sports reported that Rich Rodriguez is expected to hire Travis Trickett to the Mountaineer football staff.
Trickett was a student assistant on Rodriguez’s staff at West Virginia from 2003 to 2006 before becoming a graduate assistant at Alabama. Following positions at several schools, he landed back in Morgantown in 2019 as a part of Neal Brown’s staff coaching the inside receivers and tight ends until 2022.
He then became the offensive coordinator at South Florida for one season before spending the last two seasons in the same position at Coastal Carolina.
