Former West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks came into the week already eliminated. With nothing to lose, Smith had a career day in the team’s 30-25 win over the Los Angeles Rams.
Smith completed 20 of 27 pass attempts for 223 yards and a career-high four touchdowns. Geno also came into this game with the chance to cash a few contract incentives; he was able to raise his salary an extra six million dollars. He earned two million for completing over 69.755% of his passes on the season, another two million for winning 10 games, and an additional two million for throwing over 4,282 yards on the year.
Smith will enter this off-season still under contract with the Seahawks.
