On Monday, Virginia Tech announced the hiring of former West Virginia offensive line coach Matt Moore as their new offensive line coach.

Moore and former WVU head coach Neal Brown worked together for many seasons before West Virginia. In 2020, Moore was promoted to assistant head coach.

Behind a Moore-coached offensive line, the Mountaineers were No. 1 in the Big 12 and No. 2 among Power Five schools for the fewest sacks allowed (10) in 2023. WVU also lead power-five in rushing yards that season.

Moore was not brought back by newly named head coach Rich Rodriguez and has since landed in Blacksburg, Virginia to coach the Hokies. VT finished 6-6, rushed for 2,245 yards and allowed 30 sacks in 2024.
