According to CBS Sports and 247Sports reporter Matt Zenitz, West Virginia is expected to hire Michael Nysewander and Ryan Garrett.
Both come from Jacksonville State, where WVU head coach Rich Rodriguez was before being hired by the Mountaineers. Garrett is a wide receivers coach and Nysewander is a tight ends and inside receivers coach.
With Rodriguez looking to fill his staff, he hires two coaches he worked with while with the Jaguars. Garrett was also with Rodriguez at Louisiana Monroe and Nysewander joined Rodriguez’s staff at Jacksonville State in the spring of 2023.
