West Virginia football safety Aden Tagaloa-Nelson will rejoin the men’s basketball team now that WVU’s football season is officially over with the conclusion of the bowl game, Darian DeVries said Friday.
Tagaloa-Nelson joined the men’s basketball team last season in the middle of the season as a part of an agreement between former interim head coach Josh Eilert’s staff and Neal Brown’s staff. Tagaloa-Nelson has an extensive basketball background that made him a standout in high school and gave him an opportunity in college.
On the gridiron, the newest edition to DeVries’ squad had three total tackles (two solo) against UAlbany. Last season for Eilert he played in two games, racking up a total of three minutes.
